Mallet Fracture (x-Ray)

Mallet fracture (x-ray). A mallet fracture refers to an avulsion fracture at the base of the distal phalanx of a finger, including the insertion site of the extensor tendon. The injury is seen on direct lateral view. PA view often is normal.
