Aphthous Stomatitis

Aphthous stomatitis. Aphthous stomatitis is a painful condition of unknown aetiology. One or several whitish ulcerations 1 mm to 1 cm in size appear periodically in oral mucosa. Topical corticoids give relieve. In severe cases and in multiorgan affection, Behçet's syndrome should be considered as a differential diagnosis.
