A Cochrane review [Abstract] 1 included 7 studies with a total of 1 050 subjects. The methodological quality of the studies was poor. No clear evidence of overall effectiveness of multidisciplinary rehabilitation was observed. According to single studies, stress management was more effective than usual care (n=60), and education combined with physical training showed some positive effects in long term follow up (n=99).
Comment: The quality of evidence is downgraded by study quality (several issues) and by inconsistency (heterogeneity in interventions and outcomes).
