Systolic blood pressure was measured in healthy 11-year-old children using a Dinamap device and sphyghmomanometer 1. The first measurement was discarded because it gave a higher result than the next ones. The mean difference right arm - ankle by the Dinamap device was -12 mmHg, and the mean difference right arm - thigh by the sphyghmomanometer was + 4 mmHg. Taking into account the large individual variation, the authors recommend further investigations if the pressure difference exceeds +5 - +10 mmHg. The results are in agreement with earlier studies with different settings.
