Lentigo Maligna Melanoma

Lentigo maligna melanoma. Dermatoscopic image. Lentigo maligna, a melanoma precursor, melanoma in situ. In this type of lesion, pigmentation of a mostly rather homogeneous colour is distributed around follicular openings but there are also asymmetric, darker areas that still do not cover follicular openings. The vasculature seen in the background is probably associated with the patient's sun-damaged skin. The lesion should be removed.
