Reed Naevus

Reed naevus. Dermatoscopic image. Reed naevi belong to the group of Spitz naevi. These are typically black, often symmetric and starburst in shape. There are pseudopods or radial streaming at the margins. The lesion should be removed in patients over 14, at least, because this type of benign naevus may mimic melanoma.
