Plantar Wart

Plantar wart.A wart (verruca plantaris) grows inwards in the sole of the foot. Thick hyperkeratotic tissue has been formed around it (clavus, callus). Excess hyperkeratosis can be removed with a curet (scoop). Scooping the wart out necessitates the use of local anaesthesia. Cryotherapy can be performed without scooping or local anaesthesia. It is, however, not a painless procedure either.
