Geographic Tongue

Geographic tongue. Geographic tongue, also known as benign migratory glossitis, is often associated with pain, which is why several treatment recommendations have been given. Especially many oral antifungal agents are recommended, without justification, as "therapy" for it. The same result, in the most inexpensive manner, can be achieved by advising the patient to avoid irritating foodstuffs or oral care products, and by resassuring the patient. Geographic tongue does not require treatment or follow-up, and it does not increase the risk of tongue cancer.
