  • Inhibits release of acetylcholine from peripheral cholinergic nerve endings, resulting in chemical denervation of treated muscle.
Therapeutic effects:
  • Localized reduction of muscle activity, with decrease in spasticity, abnormal head position and neck pain related to cervical dystonia.
  • Reduction in unstimulated salivary flow.
