1Note on sinus-type headache: these are often migraine headaches misdiagnosed as sinus-type. Sinus-type headaches are defined by the International Classification of Headache Disorders (ICHD-II) as headache with purulent nasal discharge, pathologic sinus finding by imaging, and headache localized to specific facial and cranial areas of the sinuses.

1CSF-specific oligoclonal bands can substitute for “dissemination in time” for the purposes of these criteria.
