A striking mix of a slate gray and brown pigmentation in the face. The bluish color is caused by the deposition of melanin and lipofuscin contained in macrophages and endothelial cells in the dermis. The brown color is caused by melanin. The pigmentation is reversible, but it may take up to a year or more to complete resolution.
