Measuring Meters, Liters, and Grams
What tools do you need to measure meters, liters, and grams? The appropriate measuring devices, of course. A metric ruler, which resembles a yardstick, is used to measure length. A metric graduate can be used to measure the volume of a fluid in liters. (An enclosed chamber, such as a cylinder with a tight-fitting lid, is needed to measure a volume of gas.) A set of metric weights can be used with a metric balance to measure weight in grams.
