Dividing Decimal Fractions
When dividing one decimal fraction by another, move the divisor's decimal point all the way to the right to convert it to a whole number. Move the dividend's decimal point the same number of places to the right. After completing the division problem, place the quotient's decimal point directly above the new decimal point in the dividend.
The example here shows how to divide 10.45 by 2.6. The quotient is rounded to the nearest hundredth.
