Cyclophosphamide + Methotrexate + 5-Flourouracil (CMF IV Bolus)1,46- Prechemo: CBC, Chem, LFTs, and CA 27–29. 5-HT3 and dexamethasone 20 mg. Moderately to highly emetogenic.
- Cyclophosphamide 600 mg/m2: IV on day 1.
- Methotrexate 40 mg/m2: IV on day 1.
- 5-Flourouracil 600 mg/m2: IV on day 1.
- Side effects: Rhinitis and irritation of nose and throat. Myelosuppression can be severe. Nausea and vomiting. Mucositis and diarrhea can be severe, dose dependent. Acute renal failure, azotemia, urinary retention, and uric acid nephropathy. Hemorrhagic cystitis, dysuria, and urinary frequency with cyclophosphamide. SIADH. Photophobia, increased lacrimation, acute and chronic conjunctivitis, blepharitis, and blurred vision. Complete alopecia. Hyperpigmentation of nails and skin, banding of nails, and radiation recall may occur. Photosensitivity, sunburn-like rash. Hand-foot syndrome, dose-limiting.
- Chair time: 2 hours on day 1. Repeat every 21 days until disease progression.
