The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations for immunizations are presented in Table 2.3.
Immunizations for travel outside of the United States are recommended based on the patients health status and vaccine history, as well as the area(s) of travel. The presence of the risk of becoming ill from poor sanitary conditions, food and water sources, and endemic diseases is considered in the CDCs recommendations for travel immunizations. The CDC has an interactive tool for immunization recommendations for travel located at wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/list.
