Breastfeeding: Excreted in breastmilk in low levels; unlikely to adversely affect the breastfed infant. Histamine H2-antagonists with more extensive use might be preferred in newborns. As per manufacturer data, 0.1% of the administered oral dose of nizatidine is secreted in human milk in proportion to plasma concentrations; decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
