triangular nucleus of S.The chief or dorsal nucleus of the vestibular division of the eighth cranial nerve. It is located in the pons and occupies most of the acoustic area of the rhomboid fossa.

S. ring The thickened peripheral margin of the Descemet membrane of the cornea of the eye; it is formed by a circular bundle of connective tissue. SYN: Schwalbe line.
