Investigation of maxillary sinuses by ultrasonography (close view). The presence of fluid in the maxillary sinus can be detected by a portable ultrasonographic instrument (see picture Investigation of Maxillary Sinuses by Ultrasonography). If the maxillary sinus contains fluid the LED display shows a clear echo.
