• Refers to all benzodiazepines except flunitrazepam, which is listed in Schedule III of the Act as an illicit substance.
• Prescriptions may be written or verbal. Refills are permitted if the prescription is less than 1 yr old and the prescriber specifies the number of times it can be refilled. If the prescriber indicated the interval between refills, the pharmacist cannot refill the prescription if that interval has expired. Prescription transfers are permitted, but only once.
