Therapeutic effects:

Death of susceptible bacteria.

Spectrum:

Active against gram-positive pathogens, including:
- Staphylococcus aureus
- Streptococcus pyogenes.

(Adults and Children ≥2 mo): Apply to affected area twice daily for 5 days.

Assess skin lesions prior to and periodically during and following therapy.

Implementation ⬆ ⬇

Apply a thin layer to affected area twice daily for five days. Wash hands after application. May cover treated area with sterile bandage or gauze dressing. Not for oral, ophthalmic, intranasal, or intravaginal use.

Patient/Family Teaching ⬆ ⬇

Instruct patient or parent in correct technique for application and to apply only in treatment area. Advise patient or parent to wash hands following application. Instruct patient or parent to use ozenoxacin for entire prescribed time, even if symptoms improved.
Advise patient or parent to notify health care professional is no improvement is seen after 3 days of therapy.
