  • Interferes with fungal cell wall synthesis (ergosterol biosynthesis) by inhibiting the enzyme squalene epoxidase.
Therapeutic effects:
  • Fungal cell death.

Metabolism/Excretion: Extensively metabolized by the liver by CYP1A2, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, and CYP3A4.
