Action

  • Produces coronary vasodilation by inhibiting adenosine uptake.
Therapeutic effects:
  • In diagnostic thallium imaging, dipyridamole dilates normal coronary arteries, reducing flow to vessels that are narrowed and causing abnormal thallium distribution.
